We are currently looking for research assistants with diverse skill sets!

I. Investigating attentional lapses using EEG
Ever wonder why being "in the zone" is so difficult? in this project we plan to characterize neural activity related to being in- or out- of the zone. We would like to recruit a research assistant that could master the acquisition of EEG data for this exciting project as well as help with related online experimentation. 
Job requirements:
  • Strong sense of responsibility
  • Effective communication skills
  • Diligence and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent trouble shooting abilities
  • A lot of availability (at least 3 days a week)
The following would be an advantage but not are not required:
  • Familiarity with online experimentation
  • Experience in experimental work
  • Degree and interest in cognitive neuroscience, EEG, human behavior and psychology
  • Full time availability

​II. If you like to invent things, have some basic musical training, and enjoy brain storming with makers this job is for you!
The project aims to develop a new immersive experimental setup in the brain attention and time lab at the psychology department at HUJI. The experimental setup will involve interpersonal behavior measurements involving unique sensory as well as auditory interfaces. 
Required:
  • Basic knowledge in music
  • Knowledge using Max software, or equivalent sound design environments
  • Creativity and ability to brain storm with makers and designers
  • ability to use and trouble shoot non-conventional devices (e.g., arduino opperated sensors, touch devices)
  • Excellent interpersonal skill
  • Availability of at least 10 weekly hours.
The following are advantageous but not required:
  • Experience with building devices (...making gadgets!) 
  • An interest in music cognition, cognitive sciences, psychology.
  • Programming in Matlab or in python
  • familiarity with time-series analyses
