I am a PhD student in the Department of Linguistics, and in collaboration with Dr. Eitan Grossman we study temporal aspects of language and attention in natural settings. I landed in the lab as an MA student after touring the far away galaxies of linguistic typology (the study of what's where & why in the world's languages) and language-in-interaction, and also nearer regions as an undergraduate in the Department of Cognitive Science at HUJI. I wrote my MA project on the temporal structure of a linguistic unit that is hypothesized to be part of the prosodic (~musical) organization of every language, and interestingly also to package and pace new ideas in ongoing speech. Still interested in the why's of the ways people use language, my work in the lab acknowledges that answers may lie in the precise flow of thoughts in our minds. In practice, I have been equipping my spaceship with analysis tools from the brain rhythms world.
